Web Design

We have been designing and developing for the web since 1996.  We provide a full project service, with qualified project management and engineering staff, user interface designers, and web application software developers.

We’ve got considerable experience with:

  • Content Management Systems including our own developed SiteSync as well as WordPress, Drupal,  Joomla and Umbraco
  • Specialised PHP and MySQL custom application development including large scale MySQL implementation
  • AJAX and Javascript custom application development, with XML and JSON communication protocols to server side applications
  • Massive, distributed applications using multiple dedicated and virtualised server systems, load balancing and rate limiting.

The types of projects we’ve delivered include:

  • Multi-player, multi-region, multi-country distributed game theory application around Carbon Trading for Field Studies Council with a peak of 3000 users an hour, with 30 second synchronised game bursts over Flash, PHP, MySQL with custom optimised compressed XML centralised controller
  • Multiple site setup with Salesforce integration for Stanley Black and Decker including distribution search, secured franchise area
  • Semantic Knowledgebase and integrated community collaboration environment using Semantic MediaWiki and WordPress for JISC
